The bath-type reference blackbody radiation source mainly uses a combination of a blackbody cavity and a constant temperature bath to obtain an ideal temperature field. Usually, a tubular blackbody cavity with one end sealed is extended into the working area as a whole, so that the working medium in the working area heats the blackbody cavity, thereby obtaining a uniform temperature distribution on the wall and target surface of the blackbody cavity. The working area uses a combination of platinum resistance thermometer temperature measurement and PID adjustment technology to achieve high temperature control stability and accuracy. Using a second-class standard platinum resistor as a standard and correcting the effect of the effective emissivity deviating from 1 can meet the needs of brightness temperature measurement.
Definition of black body: an object that can absorb all external radiation energy and radiate all its own energy at the same time.
The main technical indicators of black body: emissivity of black body, diameter of black body cavity, temperature uniformity and uncertainty of radiation temperature. Therefore, in order to ensure the product quality of black body, black body is usually designed according to temperature segmentation. Usually what we call black body is artificial black body. The emissivity of artificial black body is close to 1, but not equal to 1.

For the calibration and verification of radiation thermometer, the comparison method is usually used, that is, through a high-stability radiation source (usually a black body radiation source) and other supporting equipment, the temperature reproduced by the standard instrument is compared with the temperature reproduced by the radiation thermometer to be tested to determine whether it is qualified or give a calibration result.
